Made from Ancient Kauri from New Zealand, preserved wood in peat bogs,
this wood was certified by the supplier by carbon-dating to be in excess of 40,000 years old.
It has a surreal irridescence, and the mystical aura that anything organic so old inspires.
Turned in a mushroom shape, finished in hand-rubbed polyurethane
with setscrew retention in a brass mounting collet for a BMW shift lever,
with a 5-speed dogleg pattern insert.
